Our Voice, Our Strength…Poster Session

2019 Call for Abstracts

The NNJ-AACN invites you to submit a “Our Voice, Our Strength” Poster for the 2019 Options in Critical Care Conference to be held April 4th and 5th, 2019 at The Wilshire Grand Hotel, West Orange, N.J.

“Let’s be courageous and reinvent our future,” she says. “We can create the workplaces we want and need when we use our voice. Let’s confidently step into our strength.”

Abstracts must be submitted before February 28, 2019.

To be eligible to submit, an applicant(s) must be:

  1. Able to present a poster at the 2019 Options in Critical Care Conference at the Wilshire Grand Hotel.
    1. April 4th-Non-License presenters
    2. April 5th-Licensed presenters
  2. Applicants should submit abstracts based on the AACN theme “Our Voice, Our Strength.”
  3. Please follow the Poster Guidelines below and submit abstract by the due date ofFebruary 28, 2019.

Applications will be blinded for review by the committee.

All reviews will be completed by a panel of the board and fellow members of the                               NNJ-AACN.

One outstanding poster will be selected for an award.

Individuals who have been selected to participate will be notified by email to the primary author no later than March 8, 2019.

Poster presenters are welcome to register to attend the conference.

Abstracts must follow the required format to be considered.

Abstracts submitted should describe an innovative project that supports and demonstrates professional action/empowerment that inspires, motivates, and engages excellence in nursing practice.

 

Use Times New Roman Font 10

Responses must in an essay format not to exceed 250 words

  5. Project setting/participants:
  6. Intervention or change implemented:
  7. Actions and methods used to meet the objectives:
  8. Outcomes:
  9. Lessons learned (conclusions and recommendations for practice):
  10. References are not included in the word count. (Please use the American Psychological Association Sixth Edition format for citations and references.

 

Unlicensed Applicants submit the completed abstract to: Roxana.gonzalez@rwjbh.org

Licensed Applicants submit the completed abstract to:dflynn1@ramapo.edu

 

Please make sure that your last name and “NNJ-AACN Abstract” are in the file name and subject line of your e-mail.

Posters will be evaluated on the following primary points: Innovation, Empowerment, Creativity, Credible Evidence, & Transformation of Practice.

A prize will be awarded to the winner.
