Position Description

A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their school-based facilities in Manhattan as a School Nurse.

About the Opportunity:

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 3pm
Patient Population: Pre-K & Kindergarten

Responsibilities:

Treat students and staff. as needed
Consult with Teachers, School Administrators and other school staff regarding student care
Administer medication
Monitor student immunization records
Educate students and staff on health procedures
Help students who have feeding disabilities
Bump, bruises, scratches, headaches, etc.
Temperature screenings for students upon arrival
Assist students with potential COVID symptoms in isolation room and ensure all proper protocol is followed.
Ensure proper follow up with students who are quarantined
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NJS Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS/CPR certification
Knowledge of many areas of Healthcare areas, including Mental Health
Knowledge of State Health regulations
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
