Licensed Practical Nurse

Job title: Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN)

Job location: Brooklyn, NY

Shift: Day/Night/Evening

Pay: $30-$35/hr

Contract: 3-month, possible extension

Education Requirements:

• Completion of LPN educational program
• BLS - AHA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide nursing care in routine, structured situations.
2. Assist with activities of daily living.
3. Administer treatments (e.g., suctioning, catheterization).
4. Prepare patients for surgery, tests, and procedures.
5. Administer medications and collect/process specimens.
6. Set up IV equipment; deliver IV solutions via peripheral access.
7. Administer blood/blood products with special training.
8. Report and document patient observations and incidents.
9. Contribute to care plans under RN supervision.
10. Reinforce RN-identified patient/family teaching.
11. Provide emotional support to patients and families.
12. Assist in patient rehabilitation and ensure comfort/safety.
13. Participate in care conferences.
14. Respond to emergencies (Team 7000, BCLS, etc.); document care provided.
