M-F 40 hrs - 9a-5p, flex on hours based on patient and if RN has restrictions. Just need to disclose.

Wounds and Ostemy Care
EMR- Home Care Home Base
What WOC Nursing Encompasses
Wound Care
WOC nurses specialize in managing a variety of wounds, including pressure injuries, chronic wounds, surgical wounds, fistulas, and wounds related to medical treatments or injuries.
Ostomy Care
They provide expertise in managing ostomies (colostomies, ileostomies, urostomies), which are surgically created openings that allow waste or urine to exit the body.
Continence Care
WOC nurses address issues related to bowel and bladder control, including incontinence, and provide interventions to improve continence.
Related Skin Conditions
They also manage skin conditions that may arise due to wounds, ostomies, or incontinence.
What WOC Nurses Do
Assessment and Planning
They assess patients' needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to promote healing, prevent complications, and improve quality of life.
Education and Counseling
They educate patients and their families about wound care, ostomy care, and continence management, providing support and resources.
Hands-on Care
WOC nurses provide direct patient care, including wound dressing changes, ostomy appliance management, and other interventions.
Collaboration
They work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Specialized Skills
WOC nurses have specialized knowledge and skills in areas such as stoma site marking, product selection, and management of complications.
Support Resources
They provide support resources, such as supplies, wound/skin care products, community resources, and support groups.
