2026 Beacon/Certification Celebration Dinner

Erica Newkirk, MSN, RN, AGCNS-BC, GERO-BC, CMSRN, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist dedicated to advancing nursing practice and improving patient outcomes. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana University and completed a post‑master’s certificate in Innovation and Implementation Science through the Indiana University School of Medicine. Erica also serves as an editor for the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists Journal. Erica has published on a wide range of topics, including fall prevention, delirium, executive function, safe patient handling, the Johns Hopkins Highest Level of Mobility guide, and substance use disorder. She has delivered presentations at both local and national levels on subjects such as workplace violence, substance use disorders, falls, CAUTI prevention, innovation and implementation of science, delirium, and geriatric care.
